Innovation plays an important role within Peinemann. The central position is occupied by Peinemann Equipment B.V. The company develops hydraulic tube bundle extractors and high-pressure cleaning systems for heat exchangers which are frequently used in the (petro)chemical industry.
Peinemann Equipment creates products that were not simply born on a drawing board, but of the idea that the company has to use the products themselves. As Peinemann owns more then 15 extractors and handles over 2500 bundles per year, we have been able to put all of our experience in the machines we sell.
When developing machines, Peinemann Equipment is constantly looking for opportunities to interact with the market. For contractors this is an ideal starting point. The contractors can rely on the recognised and acknowledged expertise of Peinemann Equipment and can expect a good training by experienced operators.
Peinemann Equipment maintains a good contact with industrial cleaning companies. We listen to their needs and develop machines according to their requests. In turn, Peinemann Equipment receives market information and feedback from them to improve the quality.
Peinemann was founded in 1954 renting out forklifts in the port of Rotterdam. Peinemann Equipment started as an activity of Peinemann Cranes: hydraulic bundle extraction. In the mid-seventies, Peinemann Cranes started a division to pull out and insert heat exchangers and in the mid eighties, we decided to change the design of the existing extractors into a more user friendly and faster machine. In the early nineties, Peinemann also started to build high pressure cleaning systems for heat exchangers in order to be able to offer the complete package.
Since then, Peinemann has developed three different hydraulic tube bundle extractors which are usually operated by specialist operators during shutdowns in the Netherlands and the rest of north-western Europe. Besides that, the equipment found it’s way to the sales market. You can find strong and reliable high quality machines from Russia to Canada and from Brazil to Taiwan.
Rapid technological innovations, increased competition and globalisation of the economy force companies to concentrate on things which they are good at. Besides that, strategic alliances are necessary to fulfil our own competences, reduce costs and risks and to be able to act fast on new local markets.
Very soon, Peinemann found out that the need of knowledge didn’t occur at Peinemann only. That’s why, early 1999, the initiative was born to set up a Joint Forces Group with other independent companies that could add value to the joint package offered. This resulted in the foundation of the Joint Forces Group International, officially founded in March 2000.
Examination within the associated members of the JFG indicated that especially creativity and enthusiasm were the most important factors to come to new ideas, product development, cost reduction etc. Also the possibility of creating completely new products is part of the possibilities. The members can profit, amongst each other, of each other’s know-how, experience with regards to education, working methods, agents etc.
